Deep Roots is a short film shot on location in Shard End and Stechford.

The film explores mental health, generational trauma and domestic abuse when a young woman poses as a care worker in order to gain access to her estranged grandfather.

Deep Roots is directed and co-written by Kieron ‘Konez’ Burke and Tennexa Freeman.

Deep Roots premiered at The Electric Cinema on Friday 4 November 2022.
