Get set for the Games - Birmingham

Birmingham City Council is preparing the stage to host the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. These Games will be the largest event held in region as we host 11 days of sport, across 15 competition venues. It requires a significant collaborative effort to keep the city and region moving, safe and alive with a celebratory atmosphere.

Get Set for the Games’ is the official Community and Business Readiness Campaign for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Under this campaign, we will inform residents and businesses, in good time, of the temporary measures required to deliver the Games which may impact your day to day.

From making sure our streets are clean and regular services are operating efficiently, to keeping the network moving. Our collaborative efforts will ensure the city continues to operate effectively during the Games period.

We are proud to have created ‘Get Set for the Games’ in collaboration with our Games Partners including the Birmingham 2022 Organising Committee and Transport for West Midlands.
