Creative city

Applications are now open for The Birmingham 2022 Creative City Grants Programme in partnership with Birmingham City Council

The Birmingham 2022 Culture Programme are looking for community groups who will work with artists to fill this city with creative work as part of their six-month festival running next year as part of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Thanks to the generous support of Birmingham City Council, they are looking to fund up to 150 different projects, aiming to get at least one in every ward. Each grant will be up to £20,000 but most awards are expected to be around £10,000.

These creative projects can be any art form, but applications must be made by Not-for-Profit organisations based in Birmingham. Investing in this work will not only raise the profile of the incredible artistic talent of the city but will also strive to represent Birmingham’s rich diversity.

Even if you’ve never applied for funding before they want to hear from you and offer several ways to support your application. Full guidance can be downloaded from their website from Thursday 27 May. There will be two rounds of funding and applications for Round One are open now and close at noon on Thursday 1 July 2021.
